脊柱l Cord and Pain Imaging Research Program

Study Goals:Our objectives are to better understand pain involvement in children with myelitis and to develop diagnostic imaging techniques to detect different demyelinating stages of myelitis.

Our Approach:We use advanced imaging techniques to measure changes in the spinal cord in patients at different stages of myelitis. Additionally, we use Quantitative Sensory Testing to measure pain, and define the relationship between changes in the spinal cord and the severity of pain.

Funding Sources:This project is supported by the National Institutes of Health (NIH).
