The Voice and Velopharyngeal Dysfunction Center is involved in clinical research in several areas, with collaboration between our physicians, speech-language pathologists, and nurses. Areas of research focus include:
- vocal fold nodules, treatment, progression
- vocal fold dysfunction
- voice outcomes of pre-term infants
- voice aberrations associated with use of vagal nerve stimulators in children
- voice quality associated with vocal fold immobility
- laryngeal abnormalities in children with congenitaltracheoesophageal fistulaandesophageal atresia
- use of MR angiogram imaging in children with22q11 deletion syndrome
