Boston HAPPENS provides services to youth 13-25 (and primary care patients of the Adolescent and Young Adult Clinic) who are HIV positive or at risk for the disease and other STIs. HAPPENS also offersHIV counseling and testingand Hepatitis C testing for teensandyoung adults as well as STI (syphilis, gonorrhea, and chlamydia) testing. All testing will be billed through your insurance.

For youth with recent known exposures to HIV, or for victims of sexual assault, we offer Post Exposure Prophylaxis (nPEP) treatment and follow-up services, which can greatly reduce the chance of HIV infection. For those who are HIV negative but at high risk, our interdisciplinary team offers education and clinical consultation for Pre-Exposure Prophylaxis (PrEP), which helps prevent HIV infection.
