Barbara Milmore, MSN, FNP-BC

Barbara is a board certified family nurse practitioner. Barbara’s career in nursing began in 1989 and includes a wide range of practical experience in hospital, school nursing, and primary care environments. She began her career as a medical-surgical nurse at Columbia Presbyterian Medical Center, where her unit specialized in providing cancer treatment as well as working with cardiac patients and patients with psychiatric issues. Following that, she worked as a rehabilitation nurse at Helen Hayes Hospital. As her family grew, she became a stay-at-home mom, during which period she spent time in the Washingtonville School District as a school nurse. Most recently she has been a nurse educator at Mount Saint Mary College. Barbara’s experience as a nurse, mother of four, and Washingtonville resident has given her an understanding of the challenges faced by families trying to balance a healthy lifestyle.
